Boards

Boards (2007)

As a medium to carry small messages through the fragile language of materials and found objects, the author used boards from “prehistoric” and hard-to-identify plastic materials. Their subtle colour scale, enhanced over time, affected the choice of materials and the composition. Skala, who found these boards in a disused factory and treasured them for years, understands them as a link in the chain from testimonies from bygone civilisations and their undeciphered scripts.
